As former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Vice President) with a portfolio including IT, Libraries and Teaching and Learning, I have had a long standing engagement with issues of access and engagement with content. This involved leadership in developing an Open Access policy in 2003, and supporting institutional leadership for the original porting of CC licenses to Australia. Now an adjunct in the Law Faculty, work and interest in these two fields of openness in access continues.
