The SUNY OER Road Show: Peer Advocacy Efforts in Large-Scale Professional Development The State University of New York (SUNY) has moved to scale OER program adoption rapidly across its 64 institutions. Faculty and librarian advocacy has been crucial to implementing change, increasing OER adoption and development across our community colleges, comprehensives, and research universities. In a day-long program of OER awareness-building, the faculty panel has become the focal event, garnering the most audience participation. Our panelists will speak to their experiences as faculty panelists and discipline spokespeople at OER workshops across our diverse system in Fall 2017.

Building Open Degree Pathways in SUNY
In June of 2016, five community colleges from the State University of New York (SUNY) were selected to participate in the Achieving the Dream OER Degree Initiative. The five colleges, Monroe, Tompkins Cortland, Herkimer, Mohawk Valley, and Clinton, set off to put together five different degrees made up of OER courses. This panel will feature faculty and OER campus leads from each of the colleges.
