Fostering the adoption, reuse, and improvement of comprehensive CC licensed open educational resources is an ongoing challenge, but emerging practices in the United States may show several pathways toward better sharing and adapting PreK-12 OER across contexts. The Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and New America will highlight lessons learned from ongoing research and interviews that spotlight how state leaders are building targeted communities of practice; adapting resources to their local contexts; and adopting policies to make it easy to find and use high-quality OER.
