Libraries support creators and consumers. Librarians are actively engaged in content creation every step of the way, and we work to help what is created, be consumed. When it comes to academic publishing, we see a significant disconnect between how publicly-funded research is being created, and who ultimately gets to consume the products of that research. Using academic publishing as an example, learn from librarians from the academic and public spheres, about the issues we deal with on a regular basis, and why your local librarian can help you with your rights to create and to consume.
