CC Summit for Newbies: First-Timer Breakfast

Is this your first time attending the CC Global Summit? Welcome! This session is specifically for you. The session is designed with the following goals:
  • To raise your level of understanding and awareness of CC and its ecosystem so that you can more fully engage at the Summit
  • To engage you on how to get involved in the network beyond membership
  • To invite you to meet longstanding members and build a more cohesive group
  • To set the stage for continued participation after the summit

We will have 3 Newbies breakfast Sessions - one for each day of the Summit. The session will begain each morning at 8 am. You might want to come a little early to get breakfast and settle in.

Friday 13th April - #CC101 Sessions

CC Staff members will join us and share a quick overview of the work they do, scheduled as follows:
  • What CC does? Why does it matter? CC: the machine and the movement - Ryan Merkley (CEO) & Claudio Ruiz (Director of Ecosystem Strategy)
  • The CC Licenses - Diane Peters (General Counsel and Corporate Secretary), Sarah Pearson (Senior Counsel)
  • Copyright Reform - Timothy Vollmer (Senior Manager, Public Policy) 
  • Open Education & Open Access - Cable Green (Director of Open Education)

Saturday 14th April - #CCNewbies Class of 2018

Sara Fratti from CC Uruguay and Ethan Senack from CC USA will lead a fun session full of activities aimed at connecting you with each other. Make a conference buddy!
