At last year’s summit we began to explore the development of issue-based platforms that will be run by the CC global network. We talked about the potential for a platform on copyright reform to push for positive copyright policy change in service of the commons and the public interest. We developed a background document. But now, with the launch of the new global network imminent—and with advocates together again—we need to reexamine our goals in relation to current policy opportunities, decide on education and outreach activities, and sketch out a roadmap for 2018.
